Development zones

Several major development zones in Canton Schwyz will be redesigned over the next few years, with redevelopment already underway in some cases.

Brunnen Nord

Brunnen Nord (Ingenbohl municipality) is home to a new neighbourhood development, which will provide space for 1400 workplaces and homes for 1200 people.

The newly constructed Hertipark comprises vibrant commercial and service premises, while the living, working and leisure spaces on the historic Nova Brunnen site combine urban flair with a beautiful natural setting.

Bahnhofsareal Seewen (Seewen railway station site)

The site covers around 45 000 square metres. The Zeughausareal Seewen (Seewen armory site) has strategic importance thanks to its location directly adjoining the Schwyz railway station. It will be redeveloped over the next few years, creating new commercial, service, leisure, cultural and residential space. The site has the potential for approximately 1200 to 1400 jobs.

Bahnhofsareal Arth-Goldau (Arth-Goldau railway station site)

The Arth-Goldau railway station has become an attractive traffic junction between German-speaking Switzerland and Lombardy thanks to the opening of the Gotthard Base Tunnel (NRLA, New Rail Link through the Alps). In anticipation of this, the station and its surroundings are being redeveloped. The site benefits from its proximity to Milan, which makes it of particular interest to service providers, international companies and subsidiaries.

The Health Tech Cluster Switzerland  (HTCS) is a network of manufacturers, suppliers, research and training institutions, service providers and investors in the field of health technology.
